About this website
Students and graduates of the University of Bradford
The content of this website is primarily aimed at students and graduates of the University of Bradford. Our aim is to give you all the information you need to both decide, and plan, your future career.
All the information included in the site has been written and verified by staff of Career Development Services. We hope you find it interesting, helpful and practical. When we link to external sites, we have checked the site for reliability and relevance, but the usual caveat applies – “we are not responsible for information provided by external services and the University cannot, therefore, be held responsible for its content or accuracy.”
Most of the information is freely available, but some enhanced services require you to login using your Bradford username and password.
However, there is only so much we can do virtually! You will also find our individual services (such as careers guidance appointments, CV feedback, workshops etc.) very useful so please make use of everything we offer.
It is our hope that we cover (or at least link to) everything you need to get you started with your career planning. However, if you want information you can’t find, we will research it for you. Please send details through our Careers Advice Via Email service and we will respond with appropriate information and advice within 3 working days.
Feedback is always welcome, both about our site and the sites we link to. We aim to keep the site vibrant and up-to-date so any suggestions for improvements, or additions, would be gratefully received. Please email careers@bradford.ac.uk.
Students and graduates of other Universities
You are very welcome to browse this site and you will be able to access most of it, including our database of vacancies. However, there are some sections of information which require you to have a University of Bradford username and password and, consequently, you will not be able to access these.
Graduates of other Universities who are living locally can access some of our individual services during vacations, such as guidance appointments. Please email careers@bradford.ac.uk for details.
Recruiters
We have a special website just for you – www.careers.brad.ac.uk/recruiter - which outlines our services to you (most of which are free).
However, you should find the main content of this website interesting as you can browse all our services to students and graduates and access our database of vacancies. This will give you information on what other companies are doing and what vacancies they are advertising.
We want to encourage as many recruiters as possible to use our services, so please access our Recruiters site for details and information on who to contact for help.
Prospective Students
We have a special website for you – www.careers.brad.ac.uk/prospective - which outlines the information you need if you are considering studying at the University, and gives you details of what graduates from all our courses have gone on to do.
In addition, you will find the information provided for students and graduates interesting as it will help you understand how the Careers Service will help you develop your employability skills and help you get the career you want.
